BANGSAMORO YOUTH CORNER

WHEN WILL AMERICA REDRESS HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES

AGAINST THE BANGSAMORO PEOPLE OF MINDANAO?

By RRayhanR

TRUTH EXPOSED: THANKS TO PHILIPPINE PRESIDENT RODRIGO R. DUTERTE!

U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama and other American leaders should now learn to shut-up proselytizing about human rights violations and extra-judicial killings. They have only proven to possess no moral ascendancy and ‘moral conduct.’

Since the formal establishment of the so-called United States of America (USA), the American leaders have

had trampled the fundamental human rights of the American native Indians and the African Americans. They had always condoned the mass extra-judicial killings of the natives in land-grabbing the ancestral domain and silencing the African slaves into abject obedience.

This has led the modern-day conscious American leadership to apologize to the extinct tribal ‘Indian Nations’, compensating them financially also for the lost ancestral lands.

In righting the wrong committed against the African Americans, one historical American figure personified by President Abraham Lincoln emerged to declare human slavery a cardinal sin dreading a bloody civil war in proving the American racist confederates wrong. The rest is history.

Once America found the way to safeguard people’s human rights, the shining principle was not only trumpeted in the U.S. Congress, but also throughout the world.

Nonetheless, America has still to prove its worth as a true human rights advocate nation to the oppressed Bangsamoro people of Mindanao. Indeed, America has still to redress today the human rights abuses committed against the Bangsamoro people of Mindanao. The gruesome injustice was perpetrated by the U.S. soldiers during their land-grabbing rampage in Southeast Asia during the 1900s.

It is only but providential that the hidden harsh truth has been openly exposed by no less than the Mindanao-based Philippine President Rodrigo R. Duterte during the recent September ASEAN Summit in Vientiane, Laos.

Bereft of morality and humanity, the U.S. government has only shown impunity to address the human rights violations against the Muslim and Lumad natives of Mindanao until today. Bereft of morality

President  Duterte showing the photographs of the Bud Dajo Massacre to reporters after the oath-taking of his newly appointed officials on Sept. 12, 2016. He showed the same photographs in his speech at the recently concluded ASEAN Summit in Laos where Obama, Ban Ki-Mon and other high ranking officials were present. He said, "For as long as we stay with America, we will never have peace in that land... See the soldiers stepping on a woman's bare breast ... They even made a postcard out of it."

and humanity, the U.S. government has only shown impunity to address the human rights violations against the Muslim and Lumad natives of Mindanao until today. American leadership never did once investigate extra-judicial killings by American soldiers over the Bangsamoro people.

The Human Rights Commission of the United Nations (UN) and Amnesty International has also shown a defeating silence on the issue of human rights abuses by colonizers against the Tri-People (Lumad, Muslim and Christian) of Mindanao.

The American leaders, including the first incumbent African American president, have only capitalized on the weak and subservient lap-dog Filipino presidents in the past in white-washing the tragic inhumanity.

The American objective has always anchored in pursuing the dark hidden agenda of controlling the Philippines and Filipino-occupied Mindanao in serving America’s strategic interests. This included today the implanting of “terrorism” in the Bangsamoro homeland of Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan (MINSUPALA) in justifying the presence of U.S. military forces in the region.

It is clearly noted that the diabolical strategy of the U.S. government in deploying American soldiers in Mindanao is only to neutralize the widening influence of China in the region.

Thus, this has only lent credence to the fact why the Abu Sayyaf was created by the Philippine military intelligence in conspiracy perhaps with the U.S. military community in highlighting “terrorism” in Mindanao.

Although it was revealed by former Senator Aquilino Pimentel Jr. that the Abu Sayyaf group was created by the Philippine military intelligence in dividing the leadership and freedom fighters of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) under Chairman Prof. Nur Misuari in early 1990s, the group also became a convenient tool to widespread terroristic activities in Mindanao. The highly-financed terror group could even sometimes easily operate all over the Philippines if only to justify the presence of U.S military forces. And instill fear and terror on the hearts and minds of both urban Filipino and Bangsamoro communities.

On this score, it is quite strange that a somewhat small band Abu Sayyaf could easily kidnap locals and foreigners for ransom money, including millions of U.S. dollars, and conduct more frightening activities just to highlight “terrorism” in Mindanao. This is despite the bold repeated declarations of the past Filipino colonialist leaders, like President Joseph E. Estrada, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Benigno S. Aquino III, to “crush and wipe out the Abu Sayyaf terrorists.” But never did succeed.

On the eradication of the mysterious Abu Sayyaf threat in the Bangsamoro homeland, MNLF Chairman Nur Misuari even showed strong resistance against the kidnapping activities blatantly carried out by the outlawed band. The kidnap for ransom Abu Sayyaf activities included innocent multi-creed civilians that Islam prohibit.

At the cost of several mortal lives, the MNLF freedom fighters even engaged the Abu Sayyaf group in a firefight in Jolo, driving them to retreat back to their original lair in Basilan. But aided by unknown military handlers the terror group could always be back in Jolo coddling different abducted victims from mainland Mindanao and Sabah, including Europeans, Malaysians and Indonesians.

On the continued presence of U.S. soldiers in Mindanao, it is also observed that America has arrogated itself to secretly safeguard the reported huge amount of oil reservoir beneath the Sulu Sea. The sinister objective shall eventually lead to controlling the mineral wealth in the region at the expense of the colonized victims of Sulu archipelago. But such American strategic greed has only exposed the man-made instability in the Middle East characterized by the Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syrian war.

It cannot be denied that the Middle East turmoil today is somehow instigated by America’s deceptive policy of injecting “freedom”, “democracy”, “upholding human rights”, but completely ignoring extra-judicial killings.

CALLING ON OBAMA TO RIGHT U.S. HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES IN BANGSAMORO

In the past, the Bangsamoro youth of Filipino-occupied Mindanao have called on President Barack H. Obama to take cognizant of the continued misery, suffering and agony of the Muslim and Lumad natives of Mindanao.

In an Open Letter to the U.S. president on July 7, 2012, it was clearly pointed to him that the oppressed Bangsamoro people of Mindanao have been languishing in sub-human chronic condition for many years due to the human rights abuses committed by the U.S. government.

After land-grabbing the Bangsamoro homeland of Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan (MINSUPALA) through a falsified anomalous “Treaty of Paris of 1898” transaction with the piratic Spanish marauders, the U.S. government manufactured the “Philippine Republic” on July 4, 1946.

The ugly political scheme forcibly incorporated MINSUPALA and the Cordillera Region (“Mountain

MNLF CHAIRMAN PROF. NUR MISUARI: Chairman Prof. Nur Misuari of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) has always emphasized that the freedom struggle of the Bangsamoro people is based on the moral principle of Islam religion. He has always exhorted the MNLF freedom fighters to protect and respect innocent human lives and consciously wage Jihad Fi-Sabilillah (struggle in the way of Allah) following the legacy of Prophet Muhammad (saw).

Province”), ancestral homeland of the Igorots, into the U.S. government-fabricated Philippine Republic. But the tragic event was preceded by barbaric human rights abuses by the U.S. government against the colonized victims. The Bangsamoro natives defied American brutalization in defending their freedom and “liberties.”

The Open Letter also clearly reminded the American president along the moral existence of America’s strong advocacy for Human Rights. It simply stated:

“The United States of America (USA) under your leadership is so proud of declaring to humanity that Human Rights are of paramount importance to American idealism and history. Bu this is no true to the sad case of the Bangsamoro people of Mindanao under Philippine colonialism for a quite number of decades now. The injustice most foul committed by America against the oppressed Bangsamoro people was conspiring with the megalomaniac and greedy Filipino politicians, like Manuel L. Quezon and gang, in colonizing the Bangsamoro homeland of Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan in 1946. The ugly political conspiracy had totally suppressed the fundamental Human Rights of the colonized Bangsamoro people for freedom and national self-determination. Worst, this conspiratorial political ploy has resulted now to the more than four decades Philippines-Bangsamoro war in Mindanao. Thus, how can the United States of America now under your leadership help end the Mindanao war?

Now, when will America apologize to the Bangsamoro people and help amend the injustice most foul committed against them?”

SHOWING CONCERN TO THE “INJUSTICE MOST FOUL”

Unexpectedly, President Barack Hussein Obama replied to the Open Letter on July 10, 2012.

Excerpts of the personal reply read:

“Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Many Americans have written to me about human rights around the world, and I appreciate your perspective.

The United States was founded on the principles of freedom and equality, and our history is marked with triumphs and struggles in fulfilling these timeless ideals…

As you may know, the United States has joined the United Nations Human Rights Council and is working to make this body as effective as possible. My administration will also advocate for human rights in the international settings. In our relations with other countries, the issue of human rights will continue to be raised as clearly, persistently and effectively as possible. Among other things, we will continue to promote accountability for mass atrocities; respect for the rights of minorities and women; freedom of association, speech and religion; and freedom of people to live as they choose and love whom they choose.

Our commitment to human rights is an essential element of American foreign policy and serves our national security. Through it, we will help to shut down torture chambers, replace tyranny with good governance and enlist free nations in the common cause of liberty.”

FACT OR FICTION OF OBAMA’S CONCERN

It is only very sad that the ideals and promises of U.S. President Barack H. Obama have to date only turned out into rhetorical jeopardy because the human rights violations committed by America and its allies around the world have not been sincerely addressed.

Does this mean that the United States of America was established only on the rhetorical side of human rights, but never to recognize and remedy the human wrong?

On this note, the words of the controversial Hollywood filmmaker Michael Moore cannot be lightly dismissed as rhetoric. He said:

“United States was founded on genocide and built on the back of slaves.”

Indeed, this can never erase the historical fact that the United States of America has committed two “monumental crimes in history.” Firstly, the repeated massacring of the aboriginal native Indians and land-grabbing of their ancestral homeland, and, secondly, the hunting like animals of the African natives in Africa and enslaving them for many years to live in sub-human condition serving the white American racists in the United States.

Thus, on this tangible end, it is quite baffling that the first elected African American president – Barack Hussein Obama – can just easily forget this and speak only of human rights issue as a piece of paper tiger.

Apparently showing negative attitude and complete insensitivity to the human rights abuses of the U.S. government committed against the Bangsamoro people of Mindanao, President Obama must be reminded that not all American people rejoiced at the tyrannical colonial rule of America in Mindanao.

BUD DAJO MASSACRE OF MUSLIM NATIVES BY AMERICAN SOLDIERS IN 1906

America’s brutish human rights violation was depicted by a well-known and respected American writer in his Grief and Mourning for the Night.

“Mark Twain, A Pen Warmed-up in Hell. Mark Twain in Protest 97 (1910)”

“A tribe of Moros, dark skinned savages, had fortified themselves in the bowl of an extinct crater not many miles from Jolo; and as they were hostile, and bitter against us because we have been trying for eight years to take their liberties away from them…General Wood’s order had been to “kill or capture those savages”…The enemy numbered six hundred – including women and children – and we abolished them utterly, leaving not even a baby alive to cry for his dead mother.”

HUMAN RIGHTS VERSION OF OBAMA AND BAN KI-MOON

On this month of September, 2016, the glaring ridicule and embarrassment experienced by President Barack Obama during the recent September ASEAN Summit could not just be ignored and hidden by the captive mainstream media.

In countering the criticism cited by President Barack Obama and United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on the rising death toll in the war against drug proliferation waged by President Rodrigo R. Duterte, the Philippine leader showed a picture of an atrocity during the American colonization campaign in Mindanao.

The bitterest truth only silenced the two global leaders sworn to uphold what is right and moral for America and the community of nations.

But is America under President Obama and United Nations under Secretary

BATTLE OF BUD DAJO, JOLO, SULU, MINDANAO, MARCH, 1906: Battle of Bud Dajo between the American terrorists and Moro natives was literally a massacre. More than 600 Muslim defenders were wiped out by American soldiers all-out to land-grab the Bangsamoro homeland.

Ban Ki-moon up to proving the cynics wrong that the key to solving human rights is only through the sound and bites of rhetoric?

If not, when will the U.S. government and the United Nations redress the human rights abuses committed by Spain, America, Japan and Philippines against the Muslim, Lumad and conscious Christian settlers of the Bangsamoro homeland of Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan? – rrr/bfs
