REVISITING AMERICA’S LAND-GRABBING OF MORO NATION:
IS IT PART OF AMERICA’S GLOBAL HOLOCAUST?

By RRayhanR

BEGINNING OF AMERICA’S GLOBAL HOLOCAUST

“AMERICA’S HOLOCAUST”: The land-grabbing rampage by U.S. government soldiers in early American period led to the wanton massacre of more than 4 million aboriginal Indian natives. The Indian aboriginals were either caged like animals in settlements or mercilessly slaughtered by U.S. soldiers in robbing them of their ancestral lands. The massive manslaughter of Indian natives and deceptive U.S. government-designed peace treaties resulted to the extinction of the historical Indian Nations. The heinous criminal genocide led to the emergence of the ‘United States of America (USA).’ This is today the so-called ‘land of the free’ and ‘land of the brave.’ Also the proud nation that was “built on the back” of the African slaves who were once treated like “errand-dogs” by the barbaric white American supremacists.

“United States (U.S.) was founded on genocide and built on the back of slaves,” said the American filmmaker Michael Moore.

Thus, it cannot be denied that America committed two monumental crimes in global history. Firstly, the mass killing of the aboriginal Indian natives to land-grab their ancestral lands that in all accounts describe “America’s Holocaust” involving the massacres of more than 4 million Indian natives. Secondly, the inhumane white slavery of African natives, who later adopted to be known ‘African Americans’ whose first elected president is Barack Hussein Obama.

The Africans were forcibly abducted by white slavers from the jungles of Africa to function as subservient servants of the white American supremacists to help build what is today the so-called United States of America (USA). Through fair and foulest means, USA has been grounded on becoming an absolute economic and military global superpower.

TRANSFORMING “AMERICA’S HOLOCAUST” TO GLOBAL HOLOCAUST

Wittingly or unwittingly, after structuring the United States of America not to exist as a rogue nation notorious for repeated massacres and total extinction of human aboriginals, the U.S. government strangely exported its criminal Holocaust success to other global areas.

In Asia, America widened its Holocaust capability in Philippines (formerly composed only of Luzon and Visayas Islands) and the Moro Nation (Bangsamoro homeland Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan (MINSUPALA) starting in the 1900s. After defeating the Spanish colonialist forces in the Battle of Manila Bay and later the short-lived Filipino resistant forces led by General Emilio Aguinaldo, the American war-mongers continued their Holocaust crusade by massacring more than 2,000 Filipino farmers in Samar, Visayas.

MICHAEL MOORE: The American filmmaker and author of “Stupid White Men”, Michael Moore has openly critiqued U.S. government officials patronizing war, injustice and terrorism. He recently classified the 2016 Republican Party presidential candidate Donald Trump a “legal terrorist.”

After completely conquering Philippines, the U.S. government proceeded to wreak havoc, chaos and devastation in the Moro Nation. In its land-grabbing rampage in Moroland starting in 1900s, the U.S. government terrorists perpetrated repeated massacres in Sulu and mainland Mindanao during the more than forty years of oppressive colonization campaigns.

Exhibiting shameless economic and political greed, America’s land-grabbing of Moro Nation was clearly observed by the Bangsamoro scholar Dr. Macapado A. Muslim, who stressed:

“After the defeat of the Filipino revolutionaries in 1901, the ugly face of American occupation started to unfold in Moroland. Like the Spaniards, the American occupation forces had a hidden agenda, i.e., the economic exploitation of the people and resources of their colonies."

The primary greed in the occupation of the Philippines, including Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan, is crystal clear in the remarks of the U.S. Senator Albert Beveridge in a speech to a Bostonian populace.

“…We must obey our blood and occupy new markets, and if necessary, new lands…Fate has written our policy for us. The trade of the world must and shall be ours.”

“To exploit the riches of Mindanao and Sulu would require the effective incorporation of Moroland into the orbit of U.S. control. Hence, acquisition of them by virtue of the Treaty of Paris must be made real. And since the desired economic exploitation of Moroland would have to be at the expense of the Moros and other indigenous inhabitants of Mindanao, and expecting that the Moros would most likely give a fight as they did the Spaniards, then the United States had to use its military might. The Moros had to be forced to pave the way for the realization of the economic interests of Uncle Sam in their homeland. And some excuse had to be made to legitimize the whole scale of force against the Moros whose only interest was survival and freedom”.

Thus, without slightest care for ‘human dignity’ and moral uprightness, the American land-grabbers continued their global Holocaust crusade in Moroland by conducting series of terroristic campaigns against the Muslim and Lumad natives. The genocidal and extermination campaigns of the American invaders typified the genocide war against the Indian aborigines in the early America frontier.

In imposing its colonial rule to sustain the land-grabbing terror campaign in Mindanao, the U.S. government soldiers massacred the Bangsamoro resistant fighters and family members in series one-sided battles.

SENATOR ALBERT BEVERIDGE: Albert Beveridge was a Republican senator from Indiana and known as a rabid American imperialist and historian. He was U.S. senator from March 4, 1899 to March 3, 1911.

The American-Moro war in Mindanao exactly resembled the Holocaust war waged by the unscrupulous American political leaders against the oppressed Indian natives that led to their complete extinction as independent nations entitled to preservation of their own historic distinct identity and God-given sovereignty.

The mass killing of Moro freedom fighters and civilians by American colonial terrorists was visibly characterized by the 1906 Bud Dajo and 1913 Bud Bagsak massacre in Jolo Island. The wanton massacre of Muslim natives was also observed during the brutal American/Filipino-Moro cota war in Lanao during the establishment of the Philippine Commonwealth regime by America in 1935 and beyond.

AMERICA’S GLOBAL HOLOCAUST (BUD DAJO MASSACRE OF MUSLIM NATIVES BY U.S. SOLDIERS): The mass killing of around 800 to 1,000 Bangsamoro Muslim natives, including women and children, in Bud Dajo, Jolo Island, on March 1906 by American colonialist occupation terrorists was literally a “massacre.”

The series of Lanao cota war resulted in many Muslim Maranaw fort settlements being razed to ground zero by combined American/Filipino invasion forces from 1935 to 1941. The armed resistance against the combined terrorist forces only ended upon the arrival of the Japanese invaders, who became the new enemy of the Bangsamoro people.

U.S. GOVERNMENT SOLDIERS ON LAND-GRABBING RAMPAGE: American occupation troops used naval and land firepower in slaughtering the Moro natives in Bud Dajo.

The repeated massacres of Muslim natives in Jolo proved the ruthlessness of the U.S. government in causing pain and misery to the Indigenous Peoples of the world in widening its Holocaust capability outside the United States. At this earlier stage of American imperialism, the U.S. government had already designed in institutionalizing global terrorism to be able to succeed in controlling the global “trade” and agricultural, aquatic and mineral wealth of native inhabitants.

Motivated by megalomaniac greed for power and wealth as well as to institute global fear amongst humanity, the U.S. government did not care abusing the fundamental human rights of both domestic human natives (Indian aboriginals and African Americans), but also other global natives.

In the 1906 Bud Dahu massacre, using naval gunfire and land cannons, around 750 American terrorist invaders under Colonel J.W. Duncan attacked the extinct Bud Dahu volcanic crater. It was populated by 800 to 1,000 Muslim natives, including women and children.

BUD DAHU BATTLE, JOLO ISLAND, MARCH 1906: Using powerful naval and land artillery war machine, the U.S. soldiers savagely attacked the Muslim natives in the extinct volcanic crater Mount Dajo (Bud Dahu), Jolo Island, March 1906. Through the direct order of the American war-monger, General Leonard Wood, who served as America-created ‘Moro Province’ military governor, the American invaders ruthlessly killed the Tausug natives, including women and children, in land-grabbing their ancestral lands.

Literally viewed as a massacre, the American-Moro war in Bud Dahu under General Wood’s watch was the heaviest and bloodiest fighting during America’s land-grabbing of Mindanao and Sulu.

In fairness to the conscious American people, the abusive savagery and barbarism shown by American occupation soldiers in Mindanao did not sit well with some conscientious American citizens.

On the March 1906 Mount Dajo massacre, U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt sent General Leonard Wood a congratulatory cablegram. But this did not impress the discerning American people, who were made conscious of the U.S. government atrocity in Moroland by newspaper headline reports that included:

“The March 11, 1906 New York Times headlines read: “Women and children killed in Moro battle, Mingled with Warriors and Fell in Hail of Shot. Four days of fighting Nine Hundred Persons Killed or Wounded – President Wires Congratulations to the Troops.”

Showing disgust and dismay to the continuation of America’s Holocaust in foreign soil, the conscientious American writer Mark Twain criticized the U.S. government’s role in the Bud Dajo massacre of Muslim freedom fighters and civilian members by American invaders.

In truly depicting a strong and eloquent protest to the land-grabbing adventure of the U.S. government in the Moro Nation, he vividly illustrated his personal disgust.

“Mark Twain, A Pen Marked-up in Hell, Mark Twain in Protest (1910).”

“A tribe of Moros, dark skin savages, had fortified themselves in the bowel of an extinct crater not many miles from Jolo, and as they were hostile, and bitter against us because we have been trying for eight years to take their liberties away from them…General Wood’s order had been to “kill or capture those savages”…The enemy numbered six hundred – including women and children – and we abolished them utterly, leaving not even a baby alive to cry for his dead mother.”

Today, the Bangsamoro youth, professionals and academicians in colleges and public gatherings have annually observed the centennial month of Bud Dahu massacre to mark the worst disaster of America’s land-grabbing of Moroland for more than forty years.

GENERAL LEONARD WOOD: Enjoying his final days as military governor of America-fabricated Moro Province, General Leonard Wood took pride in the lop-sided American-Moro Battle in Mount Dajo (‘Bud Dahu’), March 5-7, 1906.

The 1906 Bud Dajo massacre of Moro native defenders was repeated seven years later by the American terrorists led by General John ‘BlackJack’ Pershing in Bud Bagsak. Close to 2,000 Muslim natives were mercilessly slaughtered, including the aged, women and children.

AMERICA-CREATED HOLOCAUST IN OTHER ASIAN COUNTRIES

America later conducted its land-grabbing rampage by declaring war with Japan and killing close to half million Japanese civilians in early 1940s. The massacre victims included the innocent aged, women and children, in Nagasaki and Hiroshima through merciless air raid bombings. The destructive bombardments of the Japanese civilian habitat forced imperial Japan in surrendering to American imperialism in 1945.

Furthermore, the U.S. government widened its Holocaust campaign by orchestrating the Korean and Vietnam wars during America-Russia ‘cold war’ period.  America’s war-mongering initiative ended in dismal disaster for both the Korean and Vietnamese natives.

The 3-year period Korea war resulted in 373,599 civilians killed for South Korea and 1,550,000 civilians for North Korea.

MARK TWAIN: The famous American author Mark Twain has considered peace, truth and justice the noblest traits of the American people. He was hailed as one national treasure of the United States of America (USA).

BATTLE OF BUD BAGSAK, JOLO, SULU, MINDANAO, JUNE 11-15, 1913: The Mount (‘Bud’)    Bagsak America-Moro war was literally again a “massacre.” Using far advanced weapons of mass destruction, the U.S. government soldiers led by General John ‘BlackJack’ Pershing mercilessly killed around 2,000 Moro resistant fighters and civilian members, including 196 women and 360 children.

GENERAL JOHN ‘BLACK JACK’ PERSHING (photo above) LED BUD BAGSAK MASSACRE OF MUSLIM NATIVES BY AMERICAN SOLDIERS IN JOLO, SULU, JUNE 1913: Commanded by General John ‘BlackJack’ Pershing, the U.S. military terrorists massacred more than 2,000 Muslim natives, including the aged, women and children, in the 1913 Bud Bagsak battle in Jolo Island.

While the U.S. government succeeded in dividing Korea into two warring nations – North and South Korea – the U.S. government proved unsuccessful dividing Vietnam. America instead met a humiliating defeat in waging a genocide war against the victorious Vietnamese people.

The heroic Vietnamese revolutionary fighters under the leadership of the national hero Ho Chi Minh unified Vietnam under one progressive government that is today enjoying complete freedom from foreign colonial powers.

After decisively defeating the United States in the bloody America-Vietnam war, the Vietnamese people decided in charting an independent foreign policy based on peaceful co-existence with neighboring and other foreign nations.

HO CHI MINH OF VIETNAM: The globally respected and admired revolutionary, Ho Chi Minh, is known the ‘Father of Vietnam.’ He is the legendary leader of the Vietnamese freedom fighters against American imperialism. He proved to the world the courageous sagacity and fortitude of the Vietnamese people in defending their freedom and independence. Under his leadership, Vietnam ended America’s Holocaust in South East Asia and handed America its humiliating defeat in guerilla warfare even with the brutish usage of weapons of mass destruction to kill and maim the Indigenous Peoples of Asia. PRESIDENT LYNDON B. JOHNSON OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: The U.S. government-led President Lyndon B. Johnson conducted a genocide war against the Vietnamese people through divisive tactics and war of terror by using “million bombs” in killing both Vietnamese freedom fighters and civilians. But American brutality in using weapons of mass destruction did not deter the Vietnamese people from inflicting war humiliation over the United States. America’s Vietnam defeat ended the presidential career of President Johnson, who withdrew from the Democratic Party primary selection in favor of Robert ‘Bobby’ Kennedy.

CONTINUING AMERICA’S HOLOCAUST LEGACY IN THE MIDDLE EAST

The America-Vietnam war debacle for the U.S. government has not totally altered America’s policy of global Holocaust campaign.

Still bereft of morality and ‘human dignity’, Uncle Sam has embarked on more land-grabbing adventurism in the world. The U.S. government has deceptively designed in creating trouble for the Muslim countries in the Middle East by fomenting inter-conflicts and government change for total control.

Driven always by political and economic greed, the U.S. government has only become haughty and proud to station American soldiers in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Afghanistan and Persian Gulf in pursuit of America’s strategic interest. This is particularly to control oil and other mineral wealth of the Muslim countries.

Worst today, the American military war-mongers have introduced “drone war” to kill both the combatants and civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as in other countries. The American invaders have only dismissed the piling of human casualties as “collateral damage.” Yet, the U.S. government has always taken pride to highlight and project itself as a strong defender of human rights abuses and “extra judicial killings” (EJK). American political and military leaders have only engaged in mesmerizing doubletalk in hiding their global shenanigans.

AMERICA’S INTRODUCTION OF ‘DRONE WAR’ IN MINDANAO

Since the Manila-based political leaders, starting from America-beholden President Corazon C. Aquino, President Fidel V. Ramos, President Joseph E. Estrada, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo up to President Benigno S. Aquino III, accommodated the return of American troopers to Mindanao, America was given leverage to meddle in the internal affairs of the Philippines.

The U.S. military presence again in war-torn Mindanao highlighted the disastrous consequences of American imperialism and global terrorism like in the past. Clandestine organizations, like Osama bin Laden-led Al Qaeda and Abubakar Boghdadi-led ISIS, have mysteriously emerged in projecting worldwide terrorism to malign Islam religion and Muslim image.

AMERICA’S ‘DRONE WAR’ IN THE MIDDLE EAST: Introduction of ‘drone war’ by the U.S. government in Middle Eastern countries, particularly Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, etc., has resulted in the mass killing of Muslim civilians, including the aged, women and children. The American political and military war-mongers have only considered the piling-up of innocent human lives as “collateral damage” in justifying America’s global Holocaust similar to Adolf Hitler’s war rampage in Europe.

In Mindanao, the creation of the Abu Sayyaf group by the AFP military intelligence group starting in 1992 to widespread terrorism involving kidnap for ransom activities of both local and foreign nationals and other terroristic bombing operations has seemingly justified the presence of U.S. government soldiers in the Filipino-occupied territory.

In the course of conspiring with the Filipino military occupation forces in Mindanao to combat per se the Abu Sayyaf group and the Bangsamoro freedom fighters against Philippine colonialism, the American military had also introduced the “drone war” strategy in aiding the AFP troops. But this has only contributed to more killings of both Bangsamoro combatants and helpless civilians, including women and children.

On this sorry note, the captive global and Philippine tri-media tend only to give justification to the military operations of both the Filipino and American invaders in Mindanao by projecting the Muslim and Lumad natives in their own ancestral homeland as “bandits”, “outlaws” and “terrorists”. But, never the Filipino and American pirates, who have perpetrated a crime against humanity similar to the Spanish and Japanese invaders in the past.

Thus, both the combined Manila-based Filipino colonialist land-grabbers and U.S. government leaders have been encouraged in ordering the killing of more Bangsamoro natives to continue the genocide war in Mindanao.

On this disastrous turn of events that also demonstrated the insincerity and duplicity of Manila-based and American political animals to achieve permanent peace in Mindanao, the Bangsamoro youth and professionals have always clamored for the withdrawal of both American and Filipino war-freaks from Mindanao.

The sentiments of the progressive Bangsamoro people have always grounded on achieving ‘just and lasting’ peace in Mindanao to end the genocide war imposed by both Filipino and American war-mongers.

PROMISE OF MINDANAO PEACE BY DUTERTE GOVERNMENT

The ascendance of the Mindanao-based political leader Rodrigo R. Duterte to the Philippine presidency has proven providential for final Mindanao peace.

In the past, the Manila-based political and military leaders have only banked on genocide war in proving their point that peace is won by killing more colonized natives and instilling fear in the hearts and minds of the colonized victims. They have only conspired with the U.S. government in projecting the threat of global terrorism to brainwash humanity to believe in American imperialism as the only hope and saving grace for mankind to live in peace. And that world order and global security is only possible under Uncle Sam and chosen gang alliance. Indeed, nobody else.

However, with the promise of reformative radical change for the Philippines and the Filipino and Bangsamoro communities to be able to breathe the atmosphere of peace, security and public order that Manila-based colonialist leaders have always denied as dictated by war-advocate America, there is today positive hope for Mindanao peace.

PRESIDENT RODRIGO D. DUTERTE AND PRESIDENT BARACK H. OBAMA: The peaceful confrontation in Laos ASEAN Summit by both President Rodrigo R. Duterte and President Barack H. Obama has only helped in surfacing  America’s human rights abuses versus Moros.

Thus, it is morally right for President Rodrigo D. Duterte to point out the human rights abuses of the U.S. government against the oppressed Bangsamoro people directly upfront to the arrogant face of American President Barack H. Obama and United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon.

Thus, it is only right that the Duterte government has to chart an “independent foreign policy” for the Filipino nation torn between Filipino-Moro war in Mindanao and AFP-NDF/NPA war throughout the region for the sake of ‘just and lasting’ peace. And to rid the nation of the scourge of illegal drug and massive corruption that Manila-based Filipino leaders have patronized for years.

The non-presence of American war-mongers in Mindanao is surely on the right track to achieve peace rather than to continue genocide war and America’s global Holocaust in this part of the world.

APOLOGY PERIOD FOR AMERICA’S WAR-MONGERS

The many years of inflicting home-grown Holocaust against the ‘native Americans’ that transformed into global Holocaust against the Muslim and Lumad natives of Bangsamoro and Japanese civilians as well as the maltreatment of the African Americans, including the land-grabbing of Hawaii, awakened some conscious American leaders in seeking apology to the oppressed victims of America’s brutality.

In 1988, the U.S. government apologized to the 120,000 Japanese-Americans forced to live in international camps during World War II.

In 1993, the United States government apologized to the Hawaiian people for its 1893 overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii thereby immorally incorporating the sovereign monarchy into the United States of America.

In 1998, United States President William ‘Bill’ Clinton apologized to Africa for the slave trade.

In 2009, the U.S. government apologized to the African Americans for the 246 years of institutionalized slavery.

Also in 2009, the United States government apologized to all the Indian tribes (historical ‘Indian Nations’) for the “violence, maltreatment and neglect” inflicted by American citizens.

Surprisingly though, the U.S. government did not seek apology of the aborigines of the ‘Indian Nations’ for the massacre and land-grabbing of their ancestral homeland.

Furthermore, America also did not apologize to the Japanese people over the massacre of close to half million aged, women and children in Nagasaki and Hiroshima that abruptly ended America-Japan war in Asia.

Moreover, the United States government has not extended apology to the natives of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia for the U.S.-made “million bombs” that obliterated human lives by millions in promoting “America’s Holocaust” in Indo China.

On this harsh truth, does this mean that the American leaders really lack the ‘human dignity’ and moral ascendancy to seek apology for the crime committed against the Bangsamoro natives of Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan?

It is clearly recorded in global history that blinded by socio-economic political gluttony, America had brutally abused and tyrannized the oppressed Bangsamoro people by mercilessly killing the Muslim and Lumad natives, including women and children, in the course of land-grabbing their ancestral homeland.

In the end of their land-grabbing days, the U.S. government conspired with the Manila-based Filipino colonialist leaders to illegally incorporate the Moro Nation into the destructive Philippine Republic despite the formal and loud protest of the Bangsamoro people.

However, the arrogant American leaders until today have not shown any remorse on their dastardly act against the Muslim and Lumad natives of Moro Nation. Instead they have only prided themselves by continuing their Holocaust legacy in Mindanao under the patronage of Luzon-based colonialist leaders.

MORO NATIVES IN PROTEST AGAINST AMERICAN-FILIPINO CONSPIRACY IN LAND-GRABBING MOROLAND (MINDANAO, SULU AND PALAWAN): The militant Bangsamoro natives peacefully staged a public demonstration rally in Samboangan (Zambonga City today) in 1924 protesting the illegal and immoral inclusion or annexation of the sovereign and independent Moro Nation into America-created Philippine Commonwealth government under President Manuel L. Quezon. In 1946, the American and Filipino land-grabbers conspired again in forcibly incorporating Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan into America-fabricated Philippine Republic that today resulted to the Philippines-Bangsamoro war in Mindanao. The Filipino-waged genocide war against the Bangsamoro people has become the longest war in Asia in modern period

Thus, the Bangsamoro people today have to praise and support the move of the Duterte government to bring the truth to the U.S. government that the global Holocaust it is espousing will only bring bad light to the American people who surely desire global peace rather than another catastrophic world war.

It is also on this brighter note that the Bangsamoro youth and professionals of Filipino-occupied Mindanao are appealing directly to the conscious American people and global humanity to take stock of both armed and peaceful struggle of the oppressed Bangsamoro people for justice, peace and freedom.

The Bangsamoro youth once wrote the first ever African American President Barack H. Obama to help end the decades-long Mindanao war for the sake of Mindanao peace. But his eloquent thesis on American “democracy,” “freedom” and “human rights” advocacy proved only a doubletalk bordering in falsehood propaganda. The oppressed Palestinian people also know this for a fact.

Hence, the Bangsamoro youth and professionals can only hope on the MNLF-launched freedom struggle still lead by Chairman Nur Misuari and supported by both the Moro National Liberation Front and Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement (BIFM) militant fighters to succeed to bring just and durable peace to war-ravaged Mindanao. Surely, the rest will be history. –rrr/bfs
